The vision of HEFSIBA is to empower the Mozambican leadership to be Scripture based
and mature leaders in the church

|
PASTOR’S TRAINING: |
|
|
HEFSIBA offers courses at four levels:
|
|
- A certificate of qualification as a Christian worker/evangelist (1 Year)
- A diploma in Theology (Dipl.Theol) (3 Years)
- A degree in Theology (B.Theol) (4 Years)
- BA Theology Honours (4 years) (Mozambique recognition);
- BA Theology Honours Degree (a further 2 years – in collaboration with NWU) |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (PASTORAL STUDENTS): |
|
- Fluency in the Portuguese language
- For the 1 Year Certificate in evangelism – 8 years of official schooling
- For the Diploma in Theology - 10 years of official schooling
- For the Degree in Theology – 12th years of official schooling
- Recommendation from their particular churches or organisations
- Completion of prescribed forms (obtainable from the Administrator) |

PASTOR’S
WIVES: |
|
|
The wives of the male students study concurrently with their husbands the less intensive,
but very practical PWP (Preparation of Wives of Pastors) course. HEFSIBA offers
this course, realising that many women have lacked the opportunity of education,
but also that they will have in future an important role in uplifting the women
in their congregations and communities. HEFSIBA is the only Theological School in
Mozambique that offer wives of future pastors such an extensive 3-year course. On
completion, a certificate is issued. The course for women includes the following
subjects:

THE DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY: |

This 4 Year degree is recognized by the Government of Mozambique and includes the
following subjects:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY):

|
Extramural students should have a certificate of the 10th Grade, this is 12 years
of school. |

|
|
|
|
FEES:
|
|
|
|
Fulltime theological students: |
USA $ 1 700 per year |
|
|
Fees cover registration, class-, book- and administration fees, studies of wives,
house rental and a basic amount to subsidise living costs. |
|
|
|
|
|
Study Bursaries: |
|
|
|
Bursaries are available on application. As a rule, students from the Reformed Church
in Mozambique get priority. |
|
|
|
|
|
Extramural students: |
USA $ 570 per year |
|
|
Fees cover registration, administration fees and basic books. |
